"Honestly, I was pretty sceptical. My daughter was on a mix of cloth and disposables, and towards the end she kept asking for the disposables: 'I like them better, you can't feel when it's wet.' That's when it clicked for me: the dry nappies were taking away the very signal she needed. I stuck with it, kept only the training pants… and in less than 2 weeks she was asking for the toilet all on her own. At an age where toilet training often goes backwards, that little bit of discomfort changes everything. I 100% recommend."

Emma, mum to Mia (2)
Is it really more effective than disposable nappies?

It's actually the complete opposite of a disposable. A disposable nappy keeps the bottom dry: as long as your child feels nothing, their brain has no reason to learn. Infantines lets through just enough of the wet sensation to trigger the link "I need to go, so I head to the potty", while still protecting clothes. It's the principle recommended by the Montessori approach.

How soon will I see progress?

Every child goes at their own pace, so be wary of "toilet trained in 3 weeks guaranteed" promises: that's marketing, not physiology. What we often see: in the 1st week, your child feels the wetness after an accident (the key signal); in the 2nd week, they make the connection with the potty and accidents drop; then they start asking on their own. Some are trained in 10 days, others in 2 months. The key: a calm, pressure-free environment.

Can my child sleep in them?

For naps, yes: the pants absorb one or two wees, which is plenty. For night-time, it's different: night control is a neurological process that develops separately from daytime training, often several months later. If your child already has that control, add the booster (included free in our bundles) for extra night protection. Otherwise, keep a nappy on at night and use the pants during the day and for naps. And don't wake your child to wee: it doesn't speed anything up.

What about number twos (poo), does it hold?

Yes, and that's often where it clicks: children feel a poo more clearly than a wee. If there's an accident: tip the contents into the toilet, rinse the pants in cold water to remove the worst, then machine wash at 40-60°C with no fabric softener. No bleach, no drama: an accident is never "dirty", it's just learning in progress.

Do they leak?

The absorbency is calibrated: enough to protect while your child gets to the potty, not so much that they can't feel it. The cut is fitted around the thighs, the number-one leak point. For outings, the car or naps, slip the booster into the built-in pocket; at home, take it out so they really feel the wetness.

How do I wash and care for them?

As easy as cotton underwear. After each accident: rinse in cold water to remove the worst. In the machine: 40°C for everyday, 60°C for soiling (60°C sanitises), your usual detergent. Above all, no fabric softener: it clogs the fibres and sharply reduces absorbency. Drying: air-dry where possible (it protects the membrane and the elastic); tumble dry on low only. No ironing, no bleach, no dry cleaning. Well cared for, they last across several children.

How do I choose the size? And what if I get it wrong?

6 sizes, from S to 2XL, to fit your child from 7 to 25 kg (approx. 12 months to 4 years): S 7-10 · M 10-13 · L 13-16 · XL 15-19 · XL+ 18-22 · 2XL 20-25 kg. Between two sizes? Go for the larger one, for extra comfort. Free exchange within 30 days if the size isn't right.

What are they made of? Our know-how

Three layers designed for learning: a soft, breathable material against the skin, an absorbent, hard-wearing cotton core, and a water-resistant outer layer that limits leaks without a "plastic" feel. All materials are free from substances harmful to the skin. And above all: handmade in our workshop in Europe, with flat seams that don't scratch and finishes that last.

What if your child refuses the potty, or it stalls?

It's normal, and it's not a problem. Refusals and regressions are part of learning, especially around the start of daycare or kindy. The secret: don't scold, don't force, praise the wins. The pants work gently, and the click comes when your child is ready.

How much will I save vs disposables?

Disposable nappies easily cost $80 to $130 a month until toilet training is done. An Infantines pair is a one-time buy and goes back in the wash again and again: hundreds of dollars saved, and far less waste.

Shipping, guarantee and returns

Real underwear, just like the grown-ups.

No more diapers. Underwear that your child chooses, puts on without help, and shows off with pride—just like Mom and Dad. It’s that feeling of “doing what the big kids do” that makes all the difference: underwear you love is underwear you want to keep clean. Potty training stops being a chore and becomes a source of pride.

Helping him become independent

You have the right to stop feeling guilty.

The “I messed up again” moments, the laundry piling up, that little voice telling you you’re doing it wrong… Stop. Your child isn’t doing it on purpose, and you’re doing your best. PetiKids takes the pressure off both of you: your child learns without feeling ashamed, and you support them without yelling. Potty training becomes a gentle process again, rather than a daily struggle.

Helping him become independent

The feeling
that teaches

The wetness your child feels builds the link between needing to go and the potty.

Soft and safe
on their skin

Cotton and bamboo, no plastic, no irritation.

Washable,
reusable

Washes at up to 60 °C and lasts for hundreds of uses. Zero waste.

The pride
of a big kid

Your child pulls them on alone, goes to the potty without you, and feels genuinely proud of it.

The feeling that sets it all in motion.

The exact opposite of a disposable diaper. The bamboo insert absorbs little accidents, and the waterproof (PUL) cover keeps clothes dry—but the sensation of wetness on the skin remains intact. That’s what helps your child understand the connection between “I need to go” and “I’m going to the potty.” The Déclic™ Effect.

Helping him become independent

As soft as underwear, gentle on the skin.

Cotton lining, naturally soft bamboo insert: no harmful substances against your skin. No more chafing plastic or red bottoms. It breathes, stays soft all day long, and feels just like real underwear—because that’s exactly what it is.

It clicked in 10 days

I was sceptical, we'd honestly tried everything. Within 10 days my son started asking for the potty himself. Seeing how proud he was to be a "big boy" is priceless.

I stopped throwing money away

I was spending nearly $120 a month on disposable nappies. One PetiKids pack, bought once, and that was that. I did the maths: hundreds of dollars saved.

It even holds the poo

That was my number one worry. And no, nothing escapes: it holds everything in, my daughter just feels the wetness. That's exactly what helped her understand.

Dry in time for daycare

After the Christmas holidays he regressed completely, accidents every single day. Three weeks with PetiKids, without pushing him, and he found his footing again. A real relief for the whole family.

Easier than I expected

I was dreading the washing. It just goes in the machine and dries quickly. And no mountain of nappies in the bin: better for the planet, and for my conscience.

Disposable products do the exact opposite of what he needs.

A disposable diaper is designed for one thing only: to keep your child dry. It’s very comfortable… and that’s exactly the problem. As long as your child doesn’t feel anything, their brain has no reason to learn. PetiKids takes the opposite approach: protecting without masking the signal. Comfort comes after the “aha” moment, not before.

Helping him become independent

You buy it once. You use it hundreds of times.

Do the maths: a child in disposable nappies easily costs $85 to $135 a month until they're toilet trained. That's hundreds of dollars a year, straight down the drain. A PetiKids nappy is machine washable at up to 60°C, dries quickly, and stays effective wash after wash. Better for your budget, better for the planet. (Tip: skip the fabric softener, it reduces absorbency.)

    Frequently asked questions

Everything parents ask us, answered honestly.

    The product
How do Infantines training pants work?

They protect your child while still letting them feel the wetness. The bamboo insert holds small accidents and the waterproof PUL layer keeps clothes dry, but the wet feeling stays. That feeling is what drives the learning.

How are they different from a disposable nappy?

A disposable keeps your child dry at all times: they feel nothing, so they have no reason to learn. Infantines does the opposite, protecting without hiding the signal.

    What are they made of?

A cotton lining, a bamboo terry insert and a waterproof PUL outer, with nothing harsh against the skin.

    Toilet training
    What age should we start?

As soon as your child shows they are ready: staying dry for longer stretches, taking an interest in the potty, following simple instructions. Often around 2, but every child has their own pace.

How long until they are toilet trained?

Many families see the first signs within the first week, and a child who is ready is often trained in 2 to 3 weeks, without being pushed.

What if they refuse the potty, or regress?

It is normal, especially when they start daycare or come back after the holidays. Do not scold, do not push, and praise every win. It clicks when your child is ready.

Do we have to drop nappies completely?

Yes, and that is the key. As long as they are wearing an absorbent nappy, they cannot link the urge to the potty. The training pants protect them through that transition.

    Day to day
Do they hold poos as well?

Yes, they hold both wees and poos. Your child feels the discomfort without it ending up on their clothes.

Do they leak? Can we go out in them?

The absorbency is deliberately measured: enough to protect for the time it takes to reach the potty. For outings, the car or nap time, slip a booster into the built-in pocket.

    Can they be worn overnight?

They are designed for daytime training. Night dryness comes later, and separately. During the transition, a booster can help.

How many pairs do we need per day?

In the thick of training, expect several changes a day, often 4 to 6. A pack means there is always a clean pair to hand.

    Sizing & care
How do I choose the right size?

    By weight: M 10-13 kg · L 13-16 kg · XL 15-19 kg · XL+ 18-22 kg · 2XL 20-25 kg. If you are between two sizes, go up.

How do I wash and care for them?

Machine washable up to 60 °C, and quick to dry. Avoid fabric softener, which reduces absorbency, and avoid a hot dryer.

    How long do they last?

Hundreds of washes. You buy a pair once and it lasts the whole of toilet training, and often a second child too.

    Orders & delivery
    How long does delivery take?

Free tracked delivery, dispatched within 24 to 48 hours and with you in a few days. (Adjust this to your real logistics.)

What if the size is not right?

Free exchange within 30 days, and a 30-day money-back guarantee. If it does not work out, we will sort it. One less reason to hesitate.
